Your Role
As a Deputy Manager, you will:

- Support the Registered Manager in ensuring the home runs smoothly and meets all statutory requirements, including Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
- Supervise and mentor staff, helping them to deliver outstanding care and achieve their professional goals.
- Play an active role in safeguarding, child protection, and risk management.
- Lead by example, providing direct care and support to children and young people as needed.
- Manage staff rotas, administrative duties, and resources efficiently.
- Foster a positive, nurturing environment where children feel safe and valued.
About You
We are looking for someone with:

- At least two years of experience as a senior residential childcare worker.
- A strong background in safeguarding, child protection, and supervising staff.
- Leadership skills and the ability to inspire and manage a team.
- Knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations, the Children Act 1989, and positive behaviour management strategies.
- A Level 3 Diploma in Caring for Children and Young People (essential).
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to achieve this).
