About Us
At Bright Futures Homes, the primary aim is to provide a safe, warm, and nurturing environment with exceptional standards of care and accommodation.
Caring for Every Child's Future
Bright Futures Homes operates multiple residential children’s homes, dedicated to providing full-time care, support, and accommodation for children and young people with a range of emotional and behavioural support needs. This includes those with mild to moderate learning disabilities, and young people who are neurodivergent. Each home provides accommodation for up to three children and young people, both boys and girls, aged 8 to 18.
Safety
The homes prioritise safety, understanding its importance. The team provide time, reassurance, and necessary support to ensure that each child feels safe.
Opportunities
The homes are dedicated to offering the best experiences, helping children create memories, try new things, visit new places, and discover what they enjoy most. The goal is for every child to have fun and enjoy themselves.
Acceptance
At Bright Futures Homes, each child is accepted for who they are. The team aims to help children become the best versions of themselves by valuing their views and opinions.
Potential
The homes are committed to supporting children in reaching their full potential without compromise, standing behind them every step of the way.
A Safe Haven for Resilience and Growth
Many young people at Bright Futures Homes have experienced rapidly changing circumstances, situations where they have been at risk, or they may have endured multiple moves. Our homes have been designed to provide a ‘safe base’ for children, enabling them to build meaningful relationships with professionals within the homes. Through these relationships, the team supports young people to effectively manage their emotions while helping them to identify and build upon their resilience and coping skills necessary for success in life. This is achieved by developing a comprehensive understanding of each child’s life story, behaviours, and current experiences.
The staff at Bright Futures Homes receive ongoing training specific to the needs of the young people, utilising a range of platforms that cater to different learning styles. The children and young people are supported through a multi-agency approach that aspires to the continuous development of knowledge, understanding, and skills, while ensuring they are safe, socialising with friends, and having fun.
Building good, trusting relationships and feeling safe and supported are key to helping a child settle within the homes. The team understands that this takes time, patience, and resilience. Through setting regular targets and goals, and responding with positive rewards and praise, children can develop their daily living skills, gain independence, and stay safe.
Bright Futures Homes recognises that its young people may not have had the same opportunities in life as their peers. Therefore, the team is committed to ensuring that they live in a beautiful, well-maintained home and have access to opportunities and experiences that help them grow and develop. Everyone deserves someone to champion them in life, and this is very much the role that Bright Futures Homes sees for its children.
